Gavin and I are on our "stay-cation" this week "just the two's of uses" as he says. We had hoped for some nicer weather. Well, I had hoped for some nicer weather. Gavin really wasn't too disappointed in the snow! I'm having a little trouble getting any pictures to upload so it might have to wait until I get to a different computer. And apparently my phone isn't working at "full capacity" either. Something wrong with my texting. If you're sending me things and I'm not responding it's not because I'm ignoring you. You can always try to CALL if it's important. That function is working for sure Monday we had a little change in plans but got going in the right direction eventually. I still have at least 2-3 more loads to take to Trinkets and Togs. Grr. Didn't think it would take quite this long. Well, and I had to borrow a truck which I wasn't expecting, either. We had some YUMMY chicken for supper (leftovers will make good chicken tortilla soup later in the week) and hit the hay early. Didn't make it to the church supper tonight - it was too hard to leave the house once we got in where it's warm. Oh well ... another one on Thursday. If the weather is nice tomorrow we are going to hit the pumpkin patch! Tuesday we were up bright and early at 6am thanks to my little buddy. I got up and got ready just to find he had fallen back asleep. Oh well .. such as life! I made French Toast for breakfast and Gavin had 1 piece with ketchup. That was kind of out of nowhere but oh well! We hit the road to the pumpkin patch but it was closed Who's brilliant idea was that?!?!? Yes, the weather wasn't great but I figured it was better cool than cool and rainy/snowy. Oh well...maybe tomorrow. We have all week (and next week, too, for that matter!). Headed home and Gavin took a snooze while I did some laundry. THat is as far as I've gotten today. Not sure if Emi will have soccer practice tonight or not. Time will tell I suppose. We played lots of trains this week, built lots of tunnels (for the aforementioned trains) and ate lots of ice cream. Because really whats a vacation if you can't have ice cream?!?!? And, I could really get used to napping every afternoon. These kids really have it made! The weather wasn't the best but I can't complain because we had lots of fun inside. Crafts aren't necessarily my forte but we did lots of drawrings, played a ton of "fishing", and even attempted to make a couple of masks. |
