Dear Family, We are in the process of planning our first Del Prete famly reunion for the weekend of June 29th-July 2nd in Frederick, Maryland. We are trying to gather together the children of Dominick Del Prete and Angelina Bassano Del Prete of Pittsburgh, and all of their decendents. This reunion is the culmination of many years of wishing we could find a way to be together that did not involve a funeral or a wedding. As Uncle Victor, Aunt Sylvia, Aunt Louise, and Aunt Josephine's health decline, it is now up to us, the current generations, to keep this family intact. We need to ensure that our children and the future generations of this family enjoy the memories we all cherished as we grew up. It has become my mission to help make this happen. If this reunion is as successful as we hope it will be, we plan to have a reunion once a year in a location that everyone in the family agrees upon. I really need everyone's help locating all the cousins. We have a huge family! Please feel free to adjust the dates, names, etc. to your personal profile. I am entering and updating information on a daily basis as it becomes available to me. You can email me directly with your family's information, especially those relatives who've passed and those without email. I really need help with all the dates, birth, death, etc.
It is said that "you cannot know where you're going until you know where you came from." We owe it to ourselves to find out. Please join us in reuniting this amazing and dynamic family.
With love, Jennifer Buonamassa Daughter of Vivian Merolillo and Patrick O'Hara Granddaughter of Jemma Del Prete and Mathew Merolillo
