UTAH Family Mtg. Minutes

Utah Kalama Ohana chapter

Monthly  minutes for Sunday, March 1 2009.

FAMILY NEWS:

We want to welcome our 2 family members:  Maile scholer and kaimi Wise.

Maile is currently attending BYU and has chosen special aid for her major.  She’s very busy with work and school and lives in Provo.   I will write her information at the bottom.

Kaimi is going to UVU and is looking for a place to move to in the orem/Provo area so if we know any good place for him, please let him know.  I will write his phone number and email at the bottom .

-THE SIUFANUAS are doing good.  Not much work on the house lately but very grateful for job opportunities that Dave has been getting with uncle Eric and Marcus Varner.

-THE VARNERS  Clark and Michelle are doing good.  Clark is happy that he got a job selling insurance and Michelle is still teaching 1grade class at orem elementary.  They live in highland still and are loving life as a young married couple.  I will also add their information at the bottom.

-THE FONOIMOANAS are doing good as well and keeping busy.   Sabrina also invited the family to attend Danielle’s baptism on Saturday, March 28th at 4pm at our stake center in Lehi.  We’ll send invitations and email to remind everyone.  We also emphasized the ensign messages this month about Food storage, self reliance and most of all, spiritual preparations.  We’re grateful also that our family is safe and healthy.  We also went to Valery FITISEMANU’s dotations on Saturday the 28th and explained how the spirit was very present and strong that day.  We had a great day with them, kanani who came for the occasion, Clark and Michelle, aunty Val, and Dave and Nalani YOUNG.  Valdee was happy and a little bite overwhelmed too with everything that she learned that day in the temple.  But overall, it was a very sweat experience and we’re happy that we could be part of it.  Next step is their sealing on May 23rd in the Apia Samoa temple with her parents to seal her on the same day as her mom’s birthday.

- THE MARCUS AND TAMI VARNERS are doing good too and keeping busy.   Marcus still has 2 part time jobs but things to go well for them.   Tami is still attending BYU and is loving it.  Her and Maile were very happy to find out that they could hang out sometimes in school together.

-aunty Valery VARNER is doing good and working.  She was happy to report about Mattie who’s doing good in her China mission and Annie who’s graduating from law school in May.  Also happy to report that in one of her project, 9 out of 10 of her student have qualified to go to BYU.  We’re very proud and happy for her.   She also mentioned Will and Lehua’s videos online and that Will might move back in 2 years or so.  We miss him.

-MOMi and CHARLES TUUA are doing good.  Momi enjoys her new job at Timpview Highschool and still has a lot to do and learn but we know that with her dynamic and hard working skills, she’ll achieve all her goals.  We’re proud of her.  She also mentioned that since her boys don’t happy PE this semester, she had them run up and down the BYU stairs 10, or 14 times?  So they were still very sore that day!!  Momi also had a idea about possibly starting a Family cookbook with recipe from family members.

THE FLORES Ray and Mona are doing good and ready to welcome their new baby girl in April.  Mona’s C-section is scheduled for the 21st of April, just a day before Tama Fonoimoana’s birthday.  Ray is still working hard as a Police officer.   The boys are doing good and attending school.
