We ask that you pray for Pierre, that he will continue to gain weight and stay strong and healthy for his operations. We hope that AMH will find a doctor to perform his surgery and that he can be returned home to his loving mama soon!
Two weeks ago we received a call from Vanessa of Angel Missions Haiti. AMH is a Christian non-profit organization that sets up clinics in Haiti for very ill children, and brings them to the U.S. for medical treatment and surgery when needed. Vanessa desperately needed a host family for little Pierre, so we agreed to take him!
Pierre has a cleft lip and cleft palate. He has diabetes insipidus, undescended testicles and micropenis. He is 7 1/2 months old, weighs 12 lbs. 10 oz. He is very tiny and has had to really struggle just to make it this far. But he is a delightful little guy and very playful. He entire face lights up when he smiles! He has beautiful big brown eyes that just melt my heart. We feel so honored to be able to help him in this way!
