A day at the Pumpkin Patch was just what we needed to get us a new little pumpkin to bring home!!

On Saturday, October 24th we wanted to make the day extra special for Tanner! Thinking that this could be our last weekend with Tanner as an only child. That morning we took him to the park for a few hours, swinging and sliding and having lots of fun! Later in the day we took Tanner to ride the “Pumpkin Express”. He had a great time riding the trains, and playing with all the fun things at the pumpkin patch!! We went home, I cooked dinner and by the time we got Tanner to bed, I knew that Mason would be here shortly! We made it to the hospital at 11:30pm, and he was born at 2:08am on Sunday morning!

Mason Garrett Vick, born on October 25, at 2:08 am  7lbs 6oz and 21inches. He has lots of dark black hair like Travis, and of course those sweet kissy lips like Tanner.

We are excited to be home, and helping Tanner adjust to the changes! Tanner loves his brother! He says… “don’t cry Mathin, don’t cry, don’t cry” like a broken record… it is super sweet! He reads him books and gives him lots of hugs and kisses. Luckily Mason still sleeps a lot during the day giving us more time to spend with just Tanner.

Last night was Halloween! And of course, I hosted a Halloween get together for the family to come over. The kids decorated cookies, we ate pizza and carmel apples and the whole gang went trick or treating. Tanner did great! After a few houses, he really got the hang of it! Once there was candy in his bucket he was more interested in sitting on the curb eating his M&M’s… but his cousins kept him moving along. It was lots of fun! Isn’t it amazing how kids totally change the dimension of holidays?? Sure is special!
